Have you ever felt like you were from the wrong side of the spiritual tracks?  You see people in church that are impeccably dressed and coiffed. They smile broadly and greet friends with hugs and hearty handshakes. Your life’s road, on the other hand, has had all kinds of potholes and you’ve wrecked the car a number of times.

You know that there is a God. But you see the trappings of organized religion and know that you do not fit into that mold. You find Christian terminology confusing and arcane. The truth is that life, even the Christian life, is messy. The outward appearances of Christianity can be deceiving. Non-believers can quickly get lost in misconceptions and intimidated by confusing terminology.

And that’s why I wrote this book.

The title refers to a legal standard used in court by lawyers and judges. The book examines the claims of Christianity using many of the same analytical tools I use in law practice. The Reasonable Person demystifies Christian jargon, and provides a clear roadmap to the foundational document of Christian faith, the Bible.

A bit about me: I’m a practicing attorney who also happens to be a Christian. And I’m a wrong side of the tracks Christian. I joined the faith as a young boy, but my spiritual journey has been filled with detours, potholes and car wrecks. Ironically, becoming a lawyer solidified my faith. I describe how in The Reasonable Person.

I am in the process of publishing the book.  In the meantime, I invite you to read The Reasonable Person blog on this website.
